He is well known for sharing his views on healthcare in national and international forums.

Dr.Sujit Chatterjee’s area of specialization is Obstetrics and Gynecology & Gynac Oncology.

After retirement he worked with IL & FS as their Senior Medical Consultant for projects.

Was a Doctor in the Armed Forces from 1976 to 1999.

Was a professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology atMumbaiUniversitysince 1991

Was selected by the Armed forces for super specialization in Gynecological Oncology and trained students in preventive oncology, all related surgical techniques and chemotherapy.

 

Awards Won :

  • Chief of Naval Staff Commendation Medal  for outstanding service rendered.
  •  Has published papers in various scientific journals and has won awards for the best scientific presentation.

Projects Initiated :

  • Woman’s Hospital (The Woman & Infant Centre) a 110 bedded Obstetric & Gynecological facility with a very strong focus on High Risk Pregnancy, Neonatal Intensive Care and Infertility.
  •  Children’s facility : Revitalizing an existing children’s hospital inCentral Mumbai
  •  Cardiac facilities : Designing and equipping including staffing cardiac centers that are stabilizing centers rendering medical therapy and dealing with related complications.
  •  Hospital evaluation : Led initiative in providing advisory and management services including optimization of healthcare infrastructure through revitalization of existing facilities.  The mandate included the management of 8000 hospital beds.
  •  Involved in Corporate Health Strategy planning and also interacting with other healthcare companies to help forge joint ventures.
