Wellspring Healthcare was founded in 2009 by Gautam Sen and Kaushik Sen.

Prior Wellspring, Kaushik Sen was with Bain & Co in Delhi and Boston for a few years. In 2009, he quit his job and teamed up with his father Gautam Sen, who has been practicing general surgery and surgical oncology for the past 35 years, to start the venture.

Wellspring will use its funds to create a chain of clinics under the brand name of ‘Healthspring Community Medical centres‘, a comprehensive healthcare network. With an investment from Catamaran Ventures, Reliance Ventures, BlueCross BlueShield Ventures and Sandbox Industries, Healthspring aspires to fill a vacuum in the primary and secondary healthcare delivery system in the country and provide end-to-end healthcare for consumers.

Healthspring is a doctor-centric institution, with a vision to create the most trusted healthcare brand in India, through a combination of excellence in both quality of care and customer service, and in so doing, transform healthcare delivery in India.
